Pre-Conference Workshop Submissions Guidelines

The AUGS PFD Week Planning Committee is excited to open the call for pre-conference workshops for PFD Week 2025 in Vancouver, Canada.

AUGS Pre-Conference Workshop is an in-depth, interactive, value-added presentation. Workshops should be highly participatory that require extra time and dedication to provide the learner with the best educational opportunity. In 2025, due to meeting location, AUGS will NOT be able to accommodate hands-on workshops that require industry support. AUGS will host up to 6 interactive workshops which will take place on the morning of Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

CSPM Pre-Conference Workshop is an in-depth, interactive, value-added presentation. Workshops should be hands-on, highly participatory to provide the learner with the best educational opportunity. CSPM will host up to 2 hands-on workshops which will take place before the opening address.

All workshop presenters are required to adhere to the below guidelines. Please review the following policies prior to submitting your proposal.

All presenters are expected to submit electronic versions of handouts or other materials used in their sessions to AUGS prior to the conference to be made available to attendees via the mobile app. All applications are due February 17, 2025, at 11:59 PM Eastern. No exceptions will be made.

• If you remember the email address and access key used from the previous year, you may log in using those same login credentials.
• If you do not remember your access key, you will need to create a new account. The "Lost your access key?" option is only applicable for the current event and does not work for users from previous years.

Submission Criteria

AUGS PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP

• All presenters are required to register for PFD Week.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected without review.
• Workshop Title: Titles should be descriptive of the content of the session
• Workshop Overview: Provide a description of the proposed workshop. Describe the relevance of the content to the learner and explain how content area(s) will fit together.
• Needs Assessment/Background: Explain what practice gaps the workshop will address, and how it will meet the educational needs of the target audience.
• Draft Agenda/Workshop Outline: Provide a detailed outline of the workshop including titles of presentations, assigned speakers, timing, and breaks.
• Learning Objectives: A minimum of 2 and no more than 5 learning objectives that are clear, measurable, and achievable.
• Financial Relationships Disclosure: AUGS is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). To. participate as a person who will be able to control the educational content of this accredited CE activity, ALL workshop presenters are asked to disclose all financial relationships with any ineligible companies over the past 24 months.
• AUGS Cancellation Policy: AUGS withholds the right to cancel any workshop with less than 10 registrants 3-weeks prior to the start of PFD Week.

CSPM PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP

• All presenters are required to register for PFD Week.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected without review.
• Workshop Title: Titles should be descriptive of the content of the session
• Workshop Type: Hands-on or interactive seminar
• Target Audience: Describe who will benefit most from attending the workshop
• Workshop Overview: Provide a description of the proposed workshop. Describe the relevance of the content to the learner and explain how content area(s) will fit together.
• Needs Assessment/Background: Explain what practice gaps the workshop will address, and how it will meet the educational needs of the target audience.
• Draft Agenda/Workshop Outline: Provide a detailed outline of the workshop including titles of presentations, assigned speakers, timing, and breaks.
• Learning Objectives: A minimum of 2 and no more than 5 learning objectives that are clear, measurable, and achievable.
• Financial Relationships Disclosure: AUGS is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). To. participate as a person who will be able to control the educational content of this accredited CE activity, ALL workshop presenters are asked to disclose all financial relationships with any ineligible companies over the past 24 months.
• Expected Number of Attendees: List the expected attendance for your workshop
• Requests for specific equipment/supplies, special requirements, sponsor(s), budget: Provide a detailed budget including any requests for equipment or special requirements for the workshop.

Noncommercial Policy

AUGS education programs are learning experiences and are noncommercial. Under no circumstances should a pre-conference workshop presentation be used for direct promotion of a speaker's product, service, or other self-interest.

The number of presenters listed in a proposal should reflect the needs of the format selected. For all pre-conference workshop presentations, a maximum of four individuals (including the course director) are permitted.

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Proposals will be reviewed by the PFD Week planning committee members using these criteria:
- Clearly stated purpose and objectives
- Perceived interest level amongst potential attendees
- Uniqueness of proposal and educational offering
- Timeliness of the subject matter

ACCEPTANCE/REJECTION NOTIFICATIONS
You will be notified electronically of the acceptance/rejection of your workshop Mid-March 2025. We look forward to your prompt acceptance of this opportunity.
