Dr. LaCross is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy with over a decade of clinical experience working with individuals who suffer from pelvic floor disorders. She received her B.S. in Kinesiology-Athletic Training from University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Washington University in Saint Louis School of Medicine. Upon earning her clinical doctorate, Jenny’s passion for women’s health care led her to complete a post-professional clinical residency in pelvic health at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center: Centers for Rehab Services. She then completed a post-professional certificate program in Women’s Health Physical Therapy and her Doctorate of Philosophy- PhD, Physical Therapy at Texas Woman’s University. She is currently a second-year postdoctoral research fellow at University of Michigan, working with the Pelvic Floor Research group to elucidate the effects of vaginal birth on motor function of the pelvic floor. She is also investigating associations of aging, global physical activity, and pelvic floor morphology to better understand how pelvic floor structure is influenced by each of these factors. Her clinical and research desire is to empower women to keep moving across the lifespan in their desired capacity.
