Dr. Luis Carrillo is a fourth-year Obstetrics and Gynecology resident at UT Health San Antonio, with a commitment to advancing women’s health and reducing disparities in care. He will be continuing his training as a Urogynecology fellow at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). Dr. Carrillo earned his undergraduate degree in Physics from St. Mary’s University before pursuing his medical education at UTMB Galveston, where he developed a strong interest in the intersection of medicine, equity, and surgical innovation. His academic and clinical passions center on racial and ethnic disparities in urogynecology, with a focus on improving outcomes for historically underserved populations. Dedicated to both patient care and advancing the field, Dr. Carrillo strives to integrate scientific rigor with compassionate, equitable practice.
