Mélanie Morin, PT, PhD is a physiotherapist, Full Professor at the School of Rehabilitation (Université de Sherbrooke), Researcher at the Research Center of the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (CHUS), and Director of the Pelvic Health Research Laboratory. She is the designated holder of the Institutional Philanthropic Chair in Women’s Pelvic and Sexual Health. Her research has significantly contributed to the understanding of the pathophysiology of various conditions, including pelvic pain, childbirth-related injuries, urinary incontinence, and sexual dysfunctions. She has also led several large-scale clinical trials evaluating the effectiveness of innovative therapeutic approaches such as multimodal physiotherapy treatments, laser therapy, transcranial stimulation, dry needling, and manual techniques. To date, she has published over 120 scientific articles and book chapters on pelvic health. She is Co-Editor of Continence and Sexual Medicine Reviews. Her current and past involvement in numerous international committees is extensive, including the Scientific Committee and several working groups of the International Continence Society, the International Consultation on Incontinence, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada, the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health, and Cochrane. She also s serves on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Society for Pelvic Medicine as the Eastern Allied Health Director-At-Large.
