Dr. Lauren E. Burton, MD is a PGY-7 Fellow in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Cooper University Hospital. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jefferson Abington Hospital and earned her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Burton’s research focuses on complex pelvic floor disorders and female sexual medicine, and she has received grant funding and previously presented her work at the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) 2025 Annual Meeting and at AUGS 2023 and AUGS 2022. She has published on urethral diverticulum and urethrovaginal fistula with mesh erosion in the International Urogynecology Journal and was the recipient of the Richard C. Gozon Compassion in Medicine Award in 2023.
