Dr. Shannon Wallace is Fellowship Director of the Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Clinically, she leads a dedicated combined urogynecology–colorectal pelvic floor clinic, one of the few of its kind in the country, designed for patients with complex, multicompartment prolapse and challenging pelvic floor disorders. Her expertise spans the minimally invasive treatment of stress urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, and pelvic organ prolapse, as well as advanced care for recurrent urinary tract infections, interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and fistulas. Her research portfolio includes serving as Principal Investigator on multiple industry- and foundation-supported grants, as well as co-investigator on several NIH-funded studies. Her scholarly work focuses on cost-effectiveness in women’s health, surgical outcomes and basic science, translational, and clinical research to advance innovative approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of multicompartment prolapse.
