Kelly F. Oechsel, MD, is a 3rd year Ob/Gyn resident at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. After earning an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California and a medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine, she developed a strong interest in Urogynecology. Drawn to the technical precision of vaginal surgery and the opportunity to improve patients’ quality of life, Dr. Oechsel is dedicated to empowering women by addressing urogynecologic issues that often go unspoken yet are highly treatable. Her current research focuses on improving the management of recurrent UTIs and comparing international UTI treatment practices to help reduce antibiotic resistance in the United States.
