Dr. Bretschneider is an Associate Professor at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. She grew up in the Washington DC area and attended Princeton University where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Anthropology and a certificate in East Asian Studies. After medical school at the University of Virginia, she completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina where she was recognized with a number of teaching and clinical awards. Following residency, she completed a fellowship in Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Currently, she is the Chief of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery and the Director of the Northwestern Women's Integrated Pelvic Health Clinic.
