University of Minnesota
Doctor Norma Jimenez Ramirez is a third-year resident at the University of Minnesota Obstetrics and Gynecology program. She graduated from Stanford University Medical school in 2023, where she pursued a concentration in community health. She is passionate about health equity as well as serving and empowering individuals in traditionally vulnerable populations, particularly in the spheres of immigrant and refugee health. Much of her research focuses on health disparities affecting those necessitating gynecologic care. She also has research and clinical interests in pelvic floor dysfunctions in the postpartum period and management of chronic pelvic pain. With a strong belief in adequate quality and dignity in life for all, she intends to pursue a fellowship in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. She aims to reach communities in health deserts, at the local or global level.
