Elizabeth Southworth, MD is a Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery fellow at UT Southwestern where her current research interests include surgical education, peripartum pelvic floor disorders and injury, and translational work related to prolapse.
Dr. Southworth has demonstrated a continued commitment to medical education and growing social media in academic medicine. She co-created the #OBGYNInternChallenge and ACOG Residency Showcase, two widely used initiatives designed to improve the residency transition and recruitment process. She also serves as Vice Chair of the American Urogynecologic Society’s Social Media Committee where she continues to grow the AUGS Fellowship Showcase.
